Chip with Your Hybrid

Poor chipping and iron play from just off the green.

Using a hybrid can give you a more controlled chip as long as you hit down and do not break your wrists.

Your stance, distance, shaft and swing should be just as you would when using a putter except you should play the ball more off of your back foot. You should accelerate thought impact with a descending blow to keep the ball low enough to slide across the fringe. Be careful not to break your wrists or the ball will get too much loft and miss the green.
