Tip From the Archives
You push the ball every time you try to get a full finish.
Do not try to force an ideal finish because this motion of trying to move your arms up into a high position will change the way you approach and move through the ball. This will cause you to lose distance with a push.
Work on a more rounded swing. Think about getting your hands around your head instead of trying to end your swing with your hands high. You can still get a high and picture perfect finish this way but it is important that you have a good turn past the ball. A great way to do this is to think about getting the center of your chest pointing towards the target so that your trailing shoulder is closer to the flag than your leading shoulder and then a finish with your hands around your head will come with ease.
